Kernst Pierre-Louis

Kernst Pierre-Louis joined HRP as a Director of Mixed-Use Development in 2021 where he is primarily focused on the L Street Station redevelopment project in South Boston, Massachusetts. Kernst’s responsibilities span a range of development activities including design and engineering team management, approvals and permitting, construction services procurement and oversight, project budgeting and forecasting, joint venture reporting, and branding and marketing.
Kernst has worked in the commercial real estate market in New York and Boston for over 13 years and was most recently a Senior Project Manager at Leggat McCall Properties where he was focused on the build-out of over 265,000 square feet of lab and office space for CRISPR Therapeutics’ new build-to-suit at “The 105” in South Boston. Prior to joining Leggat McCall Properties, Kernst held Construction Management roles at Boston Properties (BxP) where he worked on both urban and suburban development projects including, the 1.6 M square foot Back Bay/South End Gateway project, a substantial repositioning of the 100 Federal Street building and the Waltham Woods office park. He also executed Capital and Tenant Improvement projects, managing the new buildouts and repositioning of several restaurant and office spaces within BxP’s portfolio. Kernst has also worked within the global and national office market as part of the Global Real Estate group at Shearman & Sterling LLP and as a member of Massport’s Economic Planning and Development Department during the early master planning phases of Boston’s Seaport submarket.
Kernst holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Northeastern University, a Construction Supervisor’s License in Massachusetts and is a member of the Boston ULI Urban Development Council.
